From The President
As a single parent of two wonderful boys, I understand the need to educate our children. When one of my sons was diagnosed with a reading disability, it became clear to me that as a parent it was my job to ensure that my child was successful in his academics no matter the obstacles that lay ahead.
By working closely with my children's educators and making myself visible in their schools, I was able to not only see the needs of my two boys, but the needs of many other children just like them. It became my passion and my personal goal not only to see the needs of every child being met, but to assist in meeting their needs.
Summer reading is critical to our children and they need their educators, parents, and willing people in their communities to ensure that they are still reading throughout the summer. The R.E.A.D. (Reading for Educational Advancement and Development) Summer program, was designed to do just that, without placing a financial hardship on parents and their families.
I am here to serve our communities by Reaching Every Adult and Childhood Hardship, creating programs that will reach out to every adult and child, regardless of race, nationality, sex, or religion. Together we are reaching our communities. Building Partnerships.......Changing lives.
